It’s always been a treat to work with Steed Lord and this time it was no different. Filmed during LAs Fashion Week and turned into their official video Hideaway. Filmed by Cru Joness and edited by Mega from Steed Lord.
Being a huge fan of Drop The Lime and his music, I’m happy to finally see the first video and preview of what’s to come from the talented artist. This is his second single from his upcoming album due sometime later this year. What I love most about Bandit Blues is that it’s finally taking EDM into a new direction. Electronic producers have so much talent and ability to make so many different options in creating sounds, genres and anything their creative minds take them too. I’m happy to see a new breed of music emerging from the EDM scene and branching out into the endless possibilities that it provides.
I’ll have to be honest, I haven’t been out to Control in what now feels like to be a few months. Not only am I excited to head back to see some old friends and hopefully meet some new ones, but with Riton as the headliner and the always energetic and entertaining Will Bailey. I know tonight is going to be one for the books.
Bon Iver… what can be said about him that hasn’t already been said. An amazing mind and talented in so many ways, Bon Iver has brought such great music to the mainstream world. Right after wining Best New Artist at the 2012 Grammys, he’s now released a live performance recorded at AIR Studios with Sean Carey with just two piano’s and their amazing voices. I really don’t have much to say, other than this is a must watch for Bon Iver fans and music fans in general.
For those who know me personally, you may know that I don’t know many creative people. I mean everyone is creative in their own right, but I don’t know many photographers, producers, designers and so on. Luckily the ones I do know I have been lucky to call my friends and are people that I respect and look up too. One of these people is Harrison Boyce. He runs probably the only BMX site I look at these days and like me has his hands in lots of different aspects of the creative world.
One of his newly found talents since the rise of HDSLR cameras has been film. I’ve always admired his ability to capture moments and keep preserve every bit of emotion that happens in front of his camera. I haven’t seen many surf videos, but one thing I have always felt while watching them has been imagining the amazing feeling of being out in the water, enjoying natures beauty and so many other things tied to surfing. The surf lifestyle shines through and makes you wish you were the person on the screen. This video of Chase Hawk is no different. With an almost surf-like style, Harrison and Andrew McMullen capture a simple day in Chase Hawk’s life and makes it feel like a dream.
